OPTION #1 Apartment available from the clinic
It is located right next to the clinic – 80 meters from the clinic. (1 or 2 min by walk)
Price:
One-bedroom Apartment ( all utility fee included; fully furnished)
- 500 USD per month / 25 USD per day (with 300 USD deposit separately; 50 USD cleaning service fee deducted at the check-out)
Notice Regarding Payment for the Apartment:
a) 50 USD charge when you check-out for the janitorial service which will be deducted from your deposit.
b) All the fees for the apartment should be paid only in cash. (No bank to bank transfer. Just cash upfront)
c) The rental fee and deposit should all be paid in USD. (Clinic does not offer currency exchange service)
d) The rental fee and deposit should be paid at once prior to the check-in.
Other Important Notice Regarding Apartment:
a) Our clinic does not own the apartment but needs to repay the rental to the landlord and the maintenance fee to the janitor. Therefore, the rental fee is not included in medical expenses.
b) Our clinic arranges an apartment for foreign patients only upon request. In case there is no vacancy, we kindly ask patients to book other accommodation via Airbnb and/or a nearby hotel on their own. (necessary information can be found on the bottom section of this page)
c) Please note that the apartment is only available by reservation at least 2-4 weeks prior to your visit.
d) To make a reservation of the apartment, the patient should provide clinic the itinerary of the purchased flight ticket along with a visiting plan for treatment.
e) We do not rent the apartment in the short-term of less than 2 weeks.
Each Apartment Includes:
– Funiture: One queen-size bed with blanket and pillows, closet or wardrobe, One table & two chairs
– Machines: Laundry machine, medium-sized fridge, TV, microwave
– Others: Kitchen utensil including dishes, drying rack
– Internet connection with wifi
– Floor heating system and air conditioner
** Please bring your own towels and amenities (such as shampoo, shower gel, soap… etc).
** There is no dryer machine but you can use the drying rack.
OPTION #2 Hotel or Inn
There are hotels and Inn within 1 km diameter from the clinic. You can check availability through online services such as “agoda.com” or “tripadvisor.com“.
We recommend the “Shilla Stay Cheonan” or “Hotel Aria”. Both are about 15-20 minutes away from the clinic by foot and very clean.
Price range is from 50,000KRW to 200,000KRW per night.

– Taxi Fee (from clinic): about 3,000 KRW
– Distance: 1.58km, takes about 5 min
Costco (코스트코)
– Description: Huge market with variety of products such as grocery, foods, bakery, furniture, cosmetics, kitchen wear, electronics
– Store Hour: 10:00 ~ 22:00 (store is closed every 2nd and 4th Sundays)
– Taxi Fee (from clinic): about 6,000 KRW
– Distance: 6km, takes about 11~15 min
❗ Costco membership is required. Without membership, you cannot purchase the products at Costco. Only American Express and cash are acceptable.
Shinsegae Department Store (신세계백화점)
– Description: Department store located downtown of Cheon-an city. Yawoori Theater, food courts, E Mart (huge market), book store, and restaurants are located in this department store.

Where to go & what to do during the spare time?
As you know, our clinic is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

1. Arario Gallery (아라리오 갤러리)
A nationwide famous gallery with great exhibitions
– Location: # 43, Mannam-ro, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si
It’s in downtown of Cheonan, right next to Shinsegae Department Store.
– Hours: Monday-Sunday, 11am – 7pm
Closed on SHINSEGAE CHUNGCHEONG DEPARTMENT STORE’s closing day
(once a month. The closing day is different each month), for exhibition
preperation period, New Year’s Day and Chuseok.
– Admission Fees: Adult – 3,000 KRW l Youth – 2,000 KRW l Preschool child – Free

Movie Theater with huge food court and shopping mall.

– Hours: Opens 365 days of the year;
Open hours may differ depending on time table of movies (usually, 9 a.m. – 1 a.m.)

3. Lake Cheon-ho-ji (천호지, 단대호수)
Huge lake with café and park. Good place to take a walk! It’s very good place for the walking exercise 😉
– Location: Cheonhoji-gil, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si
Tell taxi driver to go to “Cheon-ho-ji Ho-soo” (taxi fee: 7,000-8,000 KRW)
– Hours: Open 24/7
– Recommend “Café Gourmet” (It has a great view on the 2nd floor terrace)
– How to go back to your studio apartment:
Please take a taxi. It’ll cost about 6,000-7,000 KRW and take half an hour.
If you have trouble to grab a cab, take a picture of where you are. (Take picture of the
nearest store’s sign) And send it to me. Then I’ll call a taxi for you.
4. Temple Gak-won-sa (각원사)
It’s such a beautiful temple!
Get some relaxed vibes from the temple 😉
– Location: 245, Gagwonsa-gil, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si
Tell taxi driver to go to “Gak Won Sa” (taxi fee: 8,500 – 10,000 KRW)
– Hours: Open 24/7 but I would recommend to go during the daytime.
